Description

A native of Yorkshire, England, Isaac Smith designed this sandstone, Georgian-style home with Neoclassical details in 1847. The current Legislative Assembly and the Confederation Chamber, site of the Charlottetown Conference, restored to its appearance in 1864 when the conference was held, are both open to the public.
