Useful information

Description

This former Roman fortress stands proudly on the highest point of Cazorla. Significantly modified, particularly between 1970 and 1980, it retains very few traces from the Moorish period. Its austere appearance is explained by its uniquely defensive function as opposed to that of an ornate residence. Today, the castle is home to the Museo de Artes y Costumbres Populares del Alto Guadalquivir.
