Description
Château de Castelnaud, a genuine medieval fortress complete with a machicolated keep, surrounding blind walls and a main building, commands a panoramic view over the Céou and Dordogne valleys. Scale models, videos, demonstrations, soundtracks and models dressed in 14C fashion all conjure up the castle's turbulent past. Don't miss the numerous medieval shows and demonstrations (firing of the trebuchet (catapult), metal working, armoury fittings, night shows, etc.).
