Description
This amusing, educational museum, housed in a bold, half-buried glass and metal building, illustrates the principles, issues and tools of underwater archaeology. You can have a go yourself on a shipwrecked boat immersed in water undergoing excavation, then analyse the objects found. There is also an impressive collection of amphorae, together with the fabulous treasure of the Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes, sunk in 1804. Fascinating!
