Useful information

Description

The Georgian-style Koopmans-de Wet House was built in the late 18C for an aristocratic family. The house became a museum in 1914 after the death of the last member of the family. The design and furnishings inside are a true reflection of the period. The façade is attributed to French architect Louis-Michel Thibault, who drew his inspiration from elements of ancient architecture.
