Useful information

Description

The former 18C Abbey of St Sepulchre, confiscated after the Revolution, has been remodelled many times. In the chapels leading off the transept, note the trompe l'oeil grisailles (1760) by Martin Geeraerts of Antwerp. The apsidal chapel is home to Fénelon's tomb by sculptor David d'Angers (1826), who endowed the prelate with a romantic allure; note the hands.
