Useful information

Description

Set up in a small neo-Classical palace, the Museum of Cadiz contains an interesting archaeological collection with, in the section devoted to Phoenician art, two superb white marble anthropomorphic sarcophagi from the 5C BC. In the Fine Art section, don't miss the nine arresting paintings on wood by Zurbarán, which date from the artist's middle period. The ethnography section presents Tía Norica, Cadiz's typical puppet theatre.
