This provincial site, formerly a roadside café on Route Cariboo, features a magnificent cluster of restored 19C edifices. The handsome Victorian Hat Creek House was once a hotel; the stage coach stables are still floored with the original well-worn timbers. Visitors enjoy wagon rides drawn by draft horses around the pretty site. Just upstream, a local First Nations band demonstrates a traditional summer encampment.
