The palace of the dukes of Brissac, flanked by two massive medieval towers, is the highest castle in France (48m/157ft). A Baroque-inspired façade featuring Tuscan, Doric, Ionic and Corinthian columns and pilasters completes the picture. Inside, are no less than 204 rooms spread over 8,000m²/26,000ft², including a theatre! A genuine walled city, its warren of hidden pathways, majestic staircases and huge halls combine to create an awe-inspiring setting. Lovely landscaped park.
