Description

The rocky eminence rising abruptly out of the flat lands of Great Moss was a Dark Age fortification and one of the three capitals of the Scots Kingdom of Dalriada from 498 to 843. The outline of a wild boar is carved on a stone on the summit, an image associated with the rituals of this kingship
