Description

Since 1982, 2 600 m3/91 806ft3 of water at a temperature of 78°C/172°F has been pumped daily from an aquifer near the Warm Springs Historic District in order to heat 400 private homes and eight official buildings. One of the latter, the neo-Classical building of Idaho State Capitol, was the first building in the world to use geothermal heating.
