Description
From the road, look up towards the limestone cliff to catch sight of the brightly painted balconies of Basarbovo rock monastery. Dedicated to Demetrios, the monastery resumed its activities in 1937 after being neglected for decades. Steps carved out of the rock give access to the church, to the small museum (unusual 3D icon of the Trinity) and to a cave containing the grave of a monk.
