Description
The Chao Sam Phraya National Museum is home to a remarkable collection of Buddhist art, including gold treasures excavated from the temples of Ayutthaya, bronze Buddhas, Sukhothai-style statues, 16C wooden doors and U-Thong Buddhas. The exhibits bear witness to the wealth of the ancient Siamese kingdom and the artistic influences and cultural traditions that it assimilated and enhanced.
