The nave of this church has several Baroque gilded altars and Ançã stone statues, by sculptor Jacinto Vieira. In the second chapel to the right is a tomb (18C) of chased silver, ebony and crystal; it houses the mummified body of Matilda, Queen of Castille, (1203-1252), daughter or King Sancho I. The lower chancel is decorated with a gilded organ case (18C), stalls with ornate backs and graceful statues of nuns, also by Jacinto Vieira.
