Useful information

Description

Like its Catholic counterpart, the - much older - Anglican St Patrick's Cathedral presides over the city from the top of a hill. It was here that St Patrick is said to have erected Armagh's first church in the 5C. The floor plans of the current church date from 1268, since when it has been destroyed, and restored, 17 times. Inside, you will be able to admire the white marble funeral monuments dating from the 17C and 18C.
