Description
The most revered burial ground in the US, this vast military cemetery is one of the capital's most poignant sights. The swaths of rolling terrain are lined with endless rows of gleaming white headstones marking the graves of fallen soldiers and veterans, in addition to a host of distinguished Americans including former US presidents. The changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is a moving demonstration of military precision and skill.
