Useful information

Description

MAS, which stands for the Dutch "museum on the river", is situated in the oldest part of Antwerp's port. This parallelepiped building resembles containers placed on top of each other, and houses works from the former Archaeology and Maritime Museums (and occasionally the Fine Arts Museum). Through these, visitors can delve into the history of the city and the port, with the emphasis on the intercultural exchanges that have taken place in Antwerp. The vision for MAS is to serve as a catalyst for the development of the dock area and to become the new symbol of Antwerp.
