Description
The building of this palace in 1874 involved getting rid of the house of Madame de Warens (1700-1762), protector and mistress of Jean-Jacques Rousseau. Admirers of the writer have placed a bust of Jean-Jacques in the courtyard where they first met, along with the famous «gold compass» he wanted.
