This "habitation" is a faithful replica of that built by Mons and Samuel de Champlain (1567-1635), captain and navigator of the expedition of Pierre de Mons expedition. The small wooden fort's kitchen, blacksmith's shop, communal room where the Bon Temps Order met, and the chapel can be visited, as can the storerooms, larder and trading room where the First Nations tribes brought their furs. An opportunity to travel back to the time of the first settlers.
