Useful information
Description
This former fortified gate, erected in the 1770s by Cornelis Rauws, was used forty years later by Napoleon to enter the city. The city's coat of arms can be seen in the centre of its pediment. Today, the Muiden Gate is home to the library of the tax authorities.
