Useful information

Description

Built in the late-Gothic style, this church was extensively remodelled following a number of attacks and fires. Inside, don't miss the carved wood pulpit (1649-1664), the choir's gilded copper grille, a masterpiece by Johannes Lutma, and the main organ case (c. 1650). The church is the place of investiture for the country's monarchs, from William I in 1815 to Willem-Alexander in 2013. Nowadays, it also hosts major exhibitions.
