Choirokoitia Neolithic Site

The Michelin Guide's review
A good opportunity to discover what a Neolithic village, whose last inhabitants disappeared 8 000 years ago, would have looked like. On the slopes of this hill the foundations of circular houses lie in tiers. Archaeologists have discovered a wealth of objects, now housed in museums around the country, including stone crockery, bone jewellery and gold. To make the visit more instructive, the dwellings have been reconstructed at the start of the itinerary. Fine panoramic view from the top of the site.
