Description
Peaking at 2 864m, Triglav is the highest mountain in the country. While the climb, the stuff of legend for Slovenians, should only be attempted by experienced mountaineers, the surrounding nature park (Triglavski Narodni Park) offers lovely hikes taking in steep peaks, tumultuous streams and vast mountain pastures. The abundant water has hewn out many gorges and caves. Canyoning, mountain biking, angling... lots of possibilities for travellers looking to embrace the great outdoors.
