Mohawk Trail
The Green Guide

Useful information

Description

The 79km/49mi of Route 2, between Greenfield and the border of the state of New York, are nicknamed the "Mohawk Road". This road, among the oldest in the country, follows an old Native-American trail skirting the Rivers Deerfield and Cold. It connects a part of the valley of Connecticut with the wooded hills of the Berkshires. The scenery is truly enchanting, particularly during the Indian summer. Don't hesitate to make a pit-stop in one of the many little villages in the region.
