Useful information

Description

The periods when the site of Jarlshof was occupied are easily recognised and cover almost 3 000 years, from the middle of the second millennium BC to the 17C. There is a small museum presenting finds from digs carried out on site, and the tour is organised in chronological order: fragments of a Stone Age village, ruins of a late Stone Age broch (round tower), vestiges of Viking dwellings or traces of a medieval farm.
