While Ios and its capital are above all known as the ultimate party-loving destination in summertime, the island possesses a host of other appeals. Namely its characteristic Cycladic countryside, whose hills are scorched by the sun and rare villages drenched in light. The beaches are superlative and relatively unequipped, with the exception of Milapotas, the island's star nocturnal venue.
