This island, 43km long and less than 5km wide, can be explored along a road which takes you past beautiful landscapes including pine forests, olive and fig groves, bare, round peaks and scrubland so fragrant it takes your breath away. Peace and quiet reign across the endless string of hills, where you will not encounter any spectacular villages but rather sand and shingle beaches which are an invitation to take life easy.
