Description
The south of the island of Boa Vista boasts a number of long sandy beaches, most of which are practically untouched, accessible from Povoação Velha. In summer, marine turtles lay their eggs here. Praia de Varandinha is known for its small caves, while the superb Praia de Curralinho offers good swimming conditions. But the jewel in the island's crown is the Praia de Santa Mónica, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Real estate developers already have it in their sights, so don't delay!
