  The Michelin Guide's review
Stretching 50km from Binalong Bay to Eddystone Point, this expanse of white sand, strewn with rocks covered in orange lichen, is a sight to behold. And at sunset you will marvel at the incredible palette of colours that adorns the sky. However, the Bay of Fires does not owe its name to this blaze of colour; it was named by the British navigator Tobias Furneaux, who sighted fires lit by the Aborigines as he sailed past in 1773.
