This natural park covering an area of 106 105ha was once home to smugglers who transported their merchandise between Spain and Portugal by crossing the Duero river. Today, the area is a paradise for birds, and is home to golden eagles, griffon vultures and black storks, all of whom are in their element in this region of waterfalls and granite cliffs. Boat trips leaving from Aldeadávila offer visitors the chance to get out in the fresh air and explore the park.
