The good food and friendly service attracts many diners to the restaurant of Stefan and Anita Schleier, as does the lovely setting – a half-timbered house dating back to 1647, which is every bit as charming inside as it is out. Served alongside delicious offerings such as braised calves’ cheeks with spätzle (German pasta) and vegetables, the lunchtime menu is also very popular. If you like to eat alfresco, there are a number of pleasant tables outside the old barn with its characteristic glockenspiel clock.
