You will need to allow yourself a little time, but a meal here in the restaurant of the traditional Bergschenke – a Halle institution – is a real experience! Chef Konstantin Kuntzsch delivers a single set menu comprising modern and intensely flavoured dishes that shine a spotlight on excellent produce. Delicious examples include salmon trout with carrot or young venison with kohlrabi. The serving of the set menu begins at 7.15pm for all guests (max. 12 people per evening), with diners taking their seats in the modern, rather minimalist interior of this restaurant that enjoys a fabulous location on the upper bank of the Saale River. The friendly and professional front-of-house team talk you through the dishes in detail. In summer, the terrace is the perfect spot for aperitifs. A few lunch options on Sat and Sun, as well as coffee and cake. You can reach the Bergschenke via the stairs or take the road leading up from behind the premises.
