MOS' unique location by the IJdok marina provides an opportunity to enjoy the wonderful view of the IJ river and the occasional luxury yacht sailing past. Its ambience is relaxed and chic, the velvet interior is eye-catching and a seat on the terrace is an absolute must. Chef Egon van Hoof's creations are as attractive to the eye as they are to the taste buds as his undoubted technical expertise enables him to let his creativity run free. He clearly takes pleasure in playing with flavours and textures, also experimenting with vegetables (vegetarian menu available). Not afraid to surprise his diners, he tries out some unusual combinations. Chef Van Hoof enriches slow-cooked cod with green curry, crunchy shiitake and marinated radish. He also serves steamed cod fillets seasoned with butter and soy sauce, with the colourful result creating an explosion of remarkably subtle flavours thanks to his masterful sense of culinary balance.
