"Fine food art" is the culinary promise of owners, chef Lars Scharp and maître d' Floor Wiggers, and one that is fulfilled dish after dish. Lars has developed his own creative cooking style and, thanks to his mastery of traditional French cuisine, he really shakes things up. Rich sauces and Asian techniques merge to create modern gems in which great attention is paid to detail. The taste sensations are varied and yet in perfect harmony. Take the combination of duck, cherry and chocolate. Granted, it's a classic, but the chef's flavour expressions give his version a contemporary twist. A subtly sweet and slightly sour cream and cherry bonbon provide the intense meat and the earthy depth of dark chocolate with the desired counterbalance. A refined fond-based jus and spicy duck liver cream rolled in pistachio round off the dish. The design of this spacious restaurant, with the gorgeous terrace on the harbour, will make your dining experience complete.
