Located right next to the pristine Štrbské Lake in the foothills of the High Tatras, Hotel FIS offers cozy accommodations at the entrance to the Mlynická Valley. The on-site restaurant and a lobby bar serves Slovak and international cuisine. Opened in 2013, the spa and wellness facilities include a relaxation room, infrared sauna, steam sauna, Finnish sauna, hot tub and treatment rooms. Some areas overlook the ski jumps. A well-equipped gym, and sports hall for playing volleyball, basketball, mini-football, and tennis are also available. Guests can also enjoy a game of table tennis or pool. The lobby and café have been refurbished in 2012. All rooms were renovated in 2017. This dog-friendly hotel also accommodates dogs for a surcharge on certain floors. This hotel was named after the international ski federation, the FIS, and was officially launched by FIS president Mark Hodler in 1970.
