Description

Daintree Crocodylus offers environmentally friendly accommodations, with the sights, sounds and smells of the Daintree Rainforest at your door. Facilities include a café, bar and outdoor pool. Nestled deep within 21 acres of private rainforest, Daintree Crocodylus Resort is just 10 minutes’ drive north of the Daintree River Ferry Crossing. Cow Bay Beach is only 1.9 mi away. The safari-tent style rooms are built from wood and canvas, with high ceilings, fans and mosquito net. Some have a private bathroom. All have a private or shared veranda with chairs and rainforest views. The lodge has a fully equipped self catering kitchn where you can prepare your own food. It also has a café where you can purchase breakfast and dinner. Local cafes are available for lunch. Self-service laundry and ironing facilities are available. Guests have access to a games room, pool table and bicycle hire. The tour desk can arrange guided night walks and Great Barrier Reef cruises. You will be surrounded by and immersed in nature in the raw. No manicured lawns, no air conditioning, no glass and steel. We are minimalist "glamping" in the rainforest encouraging you to re-wild and re-earth in our Rainforest Bathing space. Expect to encounter wildlife up close and personal We embrace the practice of rainforest bathing by being silent and letting the jungle do the talking overnight, have a no-power phase during the day (10.30am-5pm) when you are out and about exploring the rainforest and overnight while you are asleep (10.30pm-7am unless super hot when we leave it on). Guests are encouraged to spend their evening playing board games and chatting with other guests for some 'old-school' fun. We are not like a normal hotel. All our rooms are minimally furnished with just a bed, a mozzie net, a couple of hooks and a bench to put things on plus a table and chairs on the veranda. There are no power points in your room however a charging station is provided in the common area for charging when the power is on. This as with the whole of our lodge, allows you to focus on re-wilding without any of the distractions of modern life. Number of rooms : 8
