The ruined outline of Tournoël stands proudly on a rocky outcrop. The medieval fortress features three sets of buildings: a massive square keep protected by a double row of ramparts, a huge circular keep protected by a triangular wall and between them a main building. A walk around the ruins and up to the rampart walk will offer you a fine view of the Limagne plain and the Forez and Livradois mountains.
