The Michelin Guide's review
This 2km2 granite island lying 56km east of Mahé is home to a handful of people who live off fishing and food crops. This flat rock, peaking at 125m, is completely covered with woods and inhabited by a wealth of fauna. It boasts some 50 species of birds, including the frigate bird after which it is named. The beaches are superb, with clear waters that bring out the colours of the coral, shellfish and countless fish of the lagoon.
