Crussol

 Michelin Guide
 Well worth the diversions
Natural site
  The Michelin Guide's review
The famous ruins of Crussol castle rise nearly 200m/650ft above the plains of the Crussol Mountains. Only accessible by a footpath (1hr return journey), it is one of the Rhone valley's most iconic sites. From the lookout point atop the keep, the view is magnificent, with the Vercors, Roche-Colombe and the Trois-Becs in the background. The path then skirts the steep ridge on the south side, commanding a lovely picture of the fortress and foothills of the Massif Central.
