The road rises rapidly among the pine trees and the views take on a broad spread. A path leads to the summit (565m) and from there the panoramic view is very extensive: to the north and west, over the Minho valley littered with white villages and overlooked in the distance by the hills of Galicia; to the east, over the Serra do Soajo; to the southwest, over the wooded hills of the coast and the ocean.
