The Michelin Guide's review
Named for 1851 homesteader Patrick Beegan, the park comprises 632 acres of dense forests, agate-strewn beaches and sweeping clifftop vistas. Overlooks at Wedding Rock and Patrick's Point provide outstanding viewsaa of wave-lashed shoreline. Running along the headlands, the Rim Trail (2mi) links all the overlook points.A re-created Yurok Village (off Patrick's Point Dr., .3mi north of park entrance), including living quarters, a dance pit and a sweat house, recalls the days when Yurok people erected seasonal encampments in the area.
