Lindesnes Lighthouse
Michelin Guide
Civil and military monument
The Michelin Guide's review
The region of Lindesnes has 90km of coastline with tiny ports and sandy beaches nestled in its deep indentations; numerous little islands and reefs line the shore. The moors of the hinterland are inhabited by moose. Since 1655, the lighthouse has presided over the southernmost point of the country, 2 518km from North Cape. The current building is red and white, and dates from 1916. The small exhibition on show relates the history of the place and of lighthouses in Europe.
