Completed in 1906 as a courthouse, this imposing edifice exemplifies the Second Empire style. The architect, Elzéar Charest, reused the plans he had submitted to the 1890 city hall competition in Quebec City. Dominating lovely Strathcona Park, the structure has housed the city hall since 1988.
