Away from the centre and less visited by tourists, Fuxing Park offers the pleasant spectacle of the Chinese indulging in their favourite pastimes, exercising and playing board games. Enjoy exotic walks around the plane trees in this garden designed by French landscape gardeners in the late 1900s. It is home to the Science Hall, which houses the former French middle school (1926), with architecture more typical of Normandy.
