Sendai Mediatheque is a superb 7-storey contemporary building built out of glass and steel resting on 13 strange columns. This architectural masterpiece, conceived as a "fluid space", is the work of Ito Toyo. It is home to a media library, exhibition galleries, a café and a cinema.
