The Laurentides or Laurentians region is the most famous and most visited place in Quebec. In both summer and winter, Montrealers enjoy the winter sports resorts and 7 000 lakes of this vast and beautiful area of relaxation and recreation, whose access point, Saint-Jérôme, is only 60km from their city. Here, they are in the Lower Laurentians, but the region also encompasses the Upper Laurentians, a huge nature reserve northwest of Mt Tremblant.
