Rauma old town's 600 wooden houses dating back to the 17C and 18C earned it a place on UNESCO's World Heritage list. In this charming area, which is best explored on foot, you will see the 15C Franciscan Holy Cross Church (Pyhän Ristin Kirkko), near River Raumanjoki. The Market Square (Kauppatori) alongside the graceful little town hall (1776) is a major meeting point.
