The Michelin Guide's review
Renowned across the globe, this equestrian statue of the country's patron saint is a masterpiece by Josef Václav Myslbek (1848-1922). The figures surrounding the statue were added in the early 1920s. They stand on the corners of the huge polished granite pedestal and represent the patron saints of Bohemia: Ludmilla, Agnes, Procope and Adalbert (Vojtěch). The only decor on the pedestal is an inscription of a medieval chorale: ''Let not us, nor our descendants, perish".
