 Religious monument
  The Michelin Guide's review
Founded in 1138 by twelve monks from France, Hauterive Abbey, which was secularised in the 19C, became a place of prayer and work again in 1939. It is a stop on the road to St-Jacques-de-Compostelle. Built in around 1160, the church was largely transformed and stained glass windows were added in the 14C. The Gothic cloister was reworked at the same time.
