  The Michelin Guide's review
A visit to the woolen mills takes you through the whole production process, tracking the material from the sheep's back to the shops. Opened in 1909 and one of the last working woolen mills in the country, Pendleton Woolen Mills originally produced blankets to trade with American Indians. Nowadays, visitors can see its machines and American Indian-inspired blankets in the little museum adjoining the shop.
